Hi! I’m Renae Thomas, MD, MPH, B-BMed (Physiology, Nutrition and Exercise), and I am an Australian-born Physician, triple board-certified in Family Medicine, Public Health and General Preventive Medicine, and Lifestyle Medicine. I am also one of the very few Lifestyle Medicine Intensivists, as awarded by the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM).
I completed medical school in Australia at Monash University. I completed residency in Family and Preventive Medicine, and a Master’s of Public Health at Loma Linda University in Southern California. During my residency, my primary care clinic was at SAC-HEALTH in San Bernardino.
I served for four years on the ACLM Trainee board, with two years as President. I have also completed an internship at True North Health Centre, and Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh, India.
I am a published co-author on Vegetarianism and Cancer, and an ACLM and WIC-collaborated guide to healthy eating for less than $4 per day, as well as numerous online, print, and audio content collaborations.
My research has been in clinical lifestyle medicine, and lifestyle medicine curriculum in medical education. I have presented at numerous conferences on evidence-based and clinically-relevant nutrition and health, both in the USA and internationally. My professional content largely focuses on evidence-based nutritional medicine for both physicians and patients.
As a doctor, I strive to be a compassionate and understanding support system to my patients, helping to uncover any underlying issues, and working together to achieve their greatest health and happiness.
